# Pause when returning to Decibel and restarting

You know, when I’m in listening to music with Decibel, and I have to go into a meeting, I switch into Decibel, stop playback with the spacebar and go into my meeting. When that ends, I switch back into Decibel, start playback with the spacebar, and then: I get less than a second of music, then a pause that lasts for a couple of seconds, then the music starts again.
Since I have my music in an external USB3 drive, I’m sure the drive is going to sleep during the meeting, and when I start playback again, Decibel plays what it had buffered when I paused, and then wakes the drive up to read the next part. That’s when the pause happens.
This would be an improvement request, more than a bugfix.
